Word for Christian Renewal Church

You have started on the journey of rebuilding this temple of the Holy Spirit. You have repaired the foundations using the good stones of truth and people from the old building. However the Lord has been adding many new blocks to the foundation. These are stones of apostolic and prophetic truth.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”  …Ephesians 2:19-20 NIV

You have been careful to make the Lord Jesus the cornerstone and have walked in humility, giving him honour. He has found you trustworthy.

Now you are entering a season where the superstructure will be established. God takes time with the foundations so that the superstructure can be strong and correct. This will become a dwelling place of God in the Spirit, and a river of life will flow from you to water this city.

If you ask God for more of His Spirit among you he will answer you. Cry out for more. Hunger for more. Rejoice in all that God has done, but don’t settle for what you have. There is more, much more.

Keep building but also keep asking that the Lord will fill the spiritual building with His Spirit. Keep asking him to show you ways to impact the community and also to change the atmosphere of this city.

He will pour you out as a bowl of healing into the bitter waters of this city, so that they may be sweetened. As the waters of Jericho were healed when Elisha poured in a bowl of salt, and declared “The Lord has healed you”, so it will be with you. Carry the sweetness of his love into the bitter places and bitter hearts of this city. Bitterness and resentment is what keeps this city from being as fruitful as it could. So allow God to use you  to bring healing to those bitter waters.
