Pools on Barren Heights

26 June 2016 – Joanne Yuhayco

During our worship time at church on Sunday I had a vision.

First I saw a big clay pot next to a pool of water about knee deep. It looked more like looking at a cartoon or child’s picture book.

Then from that my vision changed to as if I was being raised up into the air and looking down. This time the scene was one that was real, like actually being there. It was a view from high in the air looking down on hilltops. And the remarkable thing was that the hilltops were absolutely covered in pools of water! They were like terraced hilltops but on them were lake after lake of pools of water, all plateaus of varying heights.

The hilltops were plateaus covered in large pools of water, not narrow pools like rice terraces. The hills were lush green with vegetation surrounding the pools and on the sides of the hills.

I got the words, “pools of living water”

I thought of the verse, “and out of you shall flow springs of living water”, but the words “pools of living water” kept coming back to my mind. I wanted to look it up in a concordance as soon as I got a chance.

I was very excited to search the phrase and find this reference so accurately describing what I saw:

I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys. I will fill the desert with pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.

God has put a deep deposit that we can spiritually, prophetically draw upon. I believe that He is causing living water to pour out and flow out far and wide in the ies. By faith we tap into God’s power, presence, healing and refreshing.

God is doing a new thing, yet at the same time drawing upon the rich deposit that He has placed here in the past.
