It’s launch time

By David Peters on November 14, 2014:

See a sailing vessel. It’s been undergoing repair and new equipment has been put on board. It has new rigging and sails, and it’s launch time.

God says,”Launch out into the deep, raise the sails and catch the fresh wind of the Spirit that is blowing.”

Yes, a wind of the Spirit will blow in this place and upon your lives. It is to move you forward with greater momentum. It is to empower you to make a difference in this city and reap a harvest.

And fire will come. It will burn in your hearts a greater love for Jesus, bring cleansing, and a greater zeal for the Kingdom. Wind and fire. Fire and wind.

You can have it if you diligently ask for it. Things are going well, you are enjoying the blessing of a new season. But don’t stay there. You can have a nice church where the blessing is kept in these walls, or you can be an influence beyond your walls.

A passion is going to burn in your hearts and it is to do with the first part of the Lord’s prayer: “Father, hallowed be your name. Let your Kingdom come and will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

(I received this word before coming for the weekend. After coming I feel that the “hallowed be your Name” part refers to the new thing in worship God wants to do. The kingdom part refers to the more missional side of the church to bring community transformation.)
